We can supply handheld methane gas detectors for CNG and LNG, as well as fixed system which can include an extraction system to remove the gas before any harm is caused. We also perform 6 monthly checks on all systems including the handheld terminals to calibrate them and ensure they are working.

Our fixed gas detectors monitor your production locations, warehouses and workplaces and warns you against imminent gas hazards. In addition to the systems themselves we offer expert planning, maintenance, service and user training for industrial gas detectors and gas monitoring systems. We currently supply and maintain several UK depots including the Iveco Retail group, Arriva and First.

Background

Challenge
The First Buses Group have a depot in Bristol which is where they service and maintain their vehicles. Whilst working on the vehicles the engineers may discover a gas leak or as the risk may be, they may not, and the workshop may fill up with harmful gases that could cause a potential explosion. Most engineers carry handheld detectors, but if not regularly maintained you can't be sure if they will alert you to the gas.
